We are seeking passionate and dedicated psychology interns to join our team at the Department of Employment & Labour in South Africa. As a psychology intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals in various aspects of psychology, including counseling, research, and psychological assessments.

  • Assist in conducting psychological assessments for individuals seeking employment services.
  • Provide counseling and support to employees dealing with workplace-related issues.
  • Collaborate with senior psychologists to develop and implement interventions to improve workplace well-being.
  • Conduct research on topics related to employment, labor, and mental health.
  • Assist in the development of training programs aimed at enhancing employee mental health and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and assessments.
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Empathy and sensitivity to the needs of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of psychological assessment tools and counseling techniques is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Fluency in English (proficiency in other South African languages is desirable).
